Came to the app store to find a good free drawing app, but the advertisements in this app annoyed me so much that I paid $25 for an annual subscription for clip studio. Overall it's not a bad app if you want to do simple stuff, but you can only save in PNG/JPG format. This means that if you wanted to save it in a way that preserves the different layers, you're out of luck. Why is the mobile app so much worse than on desktop? Clip Studio makes their mobile app and their desktop app the same.
Look, I'm fine with ads and a 'pro' option to unlock a few fancy brushes, but the amount of interrupting ads is SO unnecessary. Every other save I get an ad. This would be ok if it weren't for the fact that many ppl have to save MULTIPLE TIMES A MINUTE because this app is prone to crashing on mobile. I'm really glad I've started using krita more, it has no ads and a nice customizable layout :) 1 really good thing about this app though is the fill tool, It's pretty good.
MediBang was a great substitute for when I forget to bring my drawing pad on trips or if I want to make a quick doodle/sketch. This has been a problem after the update (not sure if it's been happening to anyone else or not) which I cannot ignore, whenever I tap the app it doesn't work, I can't go into the app at all. I have to manually go to the appstore and search for the app just so I can use it (which defeats the purpose of the convenience of the app which is why I had downloaded it)
I used to use this app for all my art but now I'm really considering switching to a different one because of the new update. I'm given an ad randomly in the middle of drawing which is a TERRIBLE decision for a drawing app of all things since it completely ruins the user's focus on their art and makes you have to just sit there and wait. if they wanted to add more ads they could just have ads at the top of the screen like other drawing apps I've seen. I don't recommend this app at all anymore
I've used this app for three years. It's my preferred drawing application. However, every update seems to only add a new place for an advertisement and never fixes the crashing issue when the app tries to back up. I've had this app crash four separate times, loosing so much work and the crash seems to delete bits of previous saves as well. Once I finished my current wips, I'm finding an alternative because this is unbearable.
Hello! Medibang is my favorite drawing app. It's easy to use (for me), and you have a bunch of brushes/tools you can use to make your art better. I do have some requests, however. 1: Being able to put brushes into folders. I feel I would use this to sort out all the brushes such as "Pen" "Pencil" "Paint" "Extra". That would be amazing. (and for free please I'm broke lmao) 2: Being able to put text on your picture while offline. I don't know if that's possible, but if so cool. That's about it. :)
There's nothing to complain about this app. It's amazing. Very amazing. There's just one little thing I would like as an update and that's to be able to save stuff like setting up any brush as you're main brush or just more optional settings in general. Apart from that I love this app. From the comic strips to drawing itself. And another thing I hope to see soon is to switch between both pallettes on you're screen instead of looking in the menu. But great app anyways! 😁 5/5 and would recommend
been using this for the last two weeks and I'm still really impressed. The majority of my editing experience up to this point came from photoshop, but with the options and layering, it's been possible to transfer most of those skills (with the obvious limitations of using the app on a tablet). don't usually leave reviews but I would definitely recommend.
I'm extremely happy with this app :) It has very subtle ads that dont take away from my time or experience, it has many versatile and useful tools, and is generally easy to navigate! It's good for editing pictures or drawing from scratch. The submissions page is a big bonus, because you can get some ideas that could be replicated and tweaked in the same app. 10/10, would reccomend!
